但就,EFL writing,的發展而言,大多數學者仍認為(,Curry,1996;Keil,1998;Leki,1992;Mabrito,1997,)學生必須先具備基礎的寫作能力之後(如:大三、大四的學生),再選讀商用英文寫作較為適當就高中高職而言,高三最適合2.1.2,Curriculum,/Syllabus Design,商英寫作變成翻譯課,-,開設在低年級(包括大一、大二)的商英寫作,常易流於形式化學生本身英語閱讀及寫作能力不足,經常使整個課程演變成翻譯課,主因是大部份的授課時間,老師都將教學重點放在解釋商用英文的專業術語及文件內容上,-,學生也因其自主性的寫作能力有限,往往只求努力背取常用商英書信片語及例句真正寫作時,只能蹩腳地將這些零碎的字串聯結起來,湊成一份四不像的商用英文文件2.1.3,Curriculum,/Syllabus Design,Motivation!,-,除了學生的基本讀寫能力之外,商英寫作課程成功與否的另一個決定性要素,取決於學生的學習動機,以國立高雄第一科技大學應用英語系為例,自九十四學年度起,改將商英寫作課程排入大四的最後一學期教授,並以為期十四週的密集課程授課,所開設的兩個時段(每班約,30,人)皆是爆滿的情況。
