Manual of Artcut Software Keyboard OperationsKeys on the Keyboard and Their Functions1. Process: With this key pressed, you can start processing after the origin is set under the Coordinate state.2. Pause/Continue: With this key pushed down during your processing, the machine will stop operating. Click on this key again, the machine will work again.3. Upper Right (X\Y): it makes X and Y axes move towards your upper right direction along an oblique line simultaneously.4. Forwards (Y): it makes the Y axis move forwards.5. Upper Left (X\Y): it makes X and Y axes move towards your upper left direction along an oblique line.6. Right (X): with the key pushed down, the X axis moves to the right.7. Reset (X&Y): it will reset the X and Y coordinates. This key can be used for the adjustment of parameter values.8. Left (X): it makes the X axis move to the left.9. Lower Right (X\Y): with this key pressed, the X and Y axes will move towards the lower right side along an oblique line.10. Backwards (X): this key moves the Y axis backwards.11. Lower Left (X\Y): it moves X and Y axes to the lower left along an oblique line.12. Changeover: it changes over the coordinates among RX, AX and OX. 13. Main Spindle: it is used to set the spindle switch, driving the spindle to rotate or stop operation.14. Move Set: it is used to set all move modes and parameters.15. Region: it is arranged for the setting of processing region.16. Tool Adjustment: with this key pressed, several options for the tool will be displayed on the screen where you can choose and adjust the tool position.17. Home: it makes all coordinates return to the absolute origin.18. OK: with this key clicked on, you can confirm and save all modification.19. Cancel: it is used to cancel all modification.20. Up (Z): it makes the Z axis move up.21. Menu: it is a main menu from which you can find all required Setting items.22. Reset (Z): with this key pushed down, all Z coordinates will be reset.23. Repeat: you can repeat your operations.24. Down (Z): it makes the Z axis moves down.25. Edit: With this key, you can input all values after the Parameter Set key is pushed down under the Coordinate state.26. Load Origin: it is used to call in a saved origin. With the Origin Call-in key pressed, select the origin number you need and call out the saved origin with the key OK pushed down after entering into the File status (It is unnecessary to set the origin each time before the processing. With this method, you can call the saved origin, especially for the repetitive processing). 27. Save Origin: it is designed to save the set origin.28. Information: after making a click on this key, you can check the information in the file.Open the file you want to output, and then, A. Under the Display status, select the file you want to check.B. With the Open key pushed down, the Width (X-axis value) and Height (Y- axis value) of the file will be displayed.29. Setting: you can set all parameters such as Language options (Chinese, Unsimplified or English)Chapter 2 Liquid Display InterfaceThere are two display statuses designed for the liquid display interface.1. File: under this status, you can display all files in the control system. With the proper key on the control keyboard pushed down, you can carry out the file operation.2. Coordinate: under this status, you can display the current coordinate position. With the proper key pushed down on the control keyboard, you can move and locate the position of the tool holder for processing.Chapter 3 Function ListⅠ. File1. SelectAfter entering into the File status, press the key Y-Up or Y-Down on the keyboard to select the file you need or Z-Up or Z-Down for turning to a fresh page.2. Delete 1) Direct DeleteA. When the hand-hold keyboard is operating under the status of Display file, push down the key Up (Y) or Down (Y) to select the file you need.B. With the key "PAUSE" pressed, there will be a question "Are you sure to delete the selected file?" displayed on the screen. Then, you can click on the key "ENTER" to delete the selected file.2) Delete through Menu OptionsA. When the hand-hold keyboard is under the Display file status, push down the key "UP(Y)" or "Down (Y)" to select the file, followed by a click on the key "Menu".B. After your pressing the key "4/" and selecting the option "4. Delete", the question of "Are you sure to delete the selected file?" will be displayed on the screen. Then, you can make a click on the key "Enter" to delete the selected file.3. FormatA. When the file is displayed on the machine, press the key "3/Menu" and get access to the Select column; and then, click on the option "2/Load" or the key "UP(Y)” or “Down (Y)" to make a selection. After that, with the key "Enter" pushed down, the Format options appear on the liquid display, where you can push down the numerical keys 1 to 3 or the key "UP(Y)” or “Down (Y)" to select the proper mode. B. Push down the key "OK" again, the machine starts the Format process (Note: it is impossible to exit when the operation Format is in progress once the process begins).4. Update You can copy the update program to a USB disk or transfer it to the controller, and then, push down the key "MENU" to make a selection between different items.A. Update main program B. Upgrade keyboard5. Main spindle: this option is designed to open or close the main spindle,Under Coordinate status, the main spindle will be changed from the status of "ON" to "OFF" with the key "7/Main Spindle" pressed.6. Keyboard Language SelectionUnder Coordinate status, the keyboard adjustment interface will be displayed with the key "6/Setting" pushed down.Ⅱ. Positioning1. MoveAfter getting in Coordinate status, you can switch between Rapid, Click-and-Move and Slow statuses with the key "1/Move" pushed down. With the key "OK" pressed, you can set the moving parameters for each status.Also, you can set the parameters for Rapid, Click-and-Move and Slow directly, with the key "6/Setting".2. Fine AdjustmentAfter entering into Coordinate status, push down the key "Menu" and then the key "1/Move" or "UP(Y)” or “Down (Y)" to select the option "Fine Adjustment". After that, press the key "ENTER" and get into the Adjustment interface. At this time, you can push down the key "UP (Z)" or “Down (Z), or make a click on the key "OK" and then input data directly for adjustment.3. Positioning: moving to the point with absolute coordinatesAfter entering Coordinate status, push down the key "Menu" and then the key "2/Load" or "Up (Y)" or “Down (Y)” to select the option "Positioning". After that, press the key "OK" to get access to the Adjustment interface. At this time, you can push down the key "UP(Z)" or “Down (Z)”, or make a click on the key "OK" again and then input data directly for adjustment.4. CalibrationAfter entering into Coordinate status, push down the key "Menu" and then the key "3/Menu", or choose the operation "Calibration" with the key “UP (Y)” or “Down(Y)” pushed down. After that, press the key "OK" to enter into the Adjustment interface. Then, click on the key "6/Setting" for parameter setting. Following that, you can make a choice with the key “UP (Y)” or “Down (Y)”. Press the key "OK" and input data immediately for adjustment. 5. Determination of Center PositionUnder Coordinate status, press the key "Menu" and choose the option "4/Coordinate". Then, click on the key "OK" to enter into the proper interface. Again, push down the key "OK" to save the position coordinates of the left point. Move the X or Y axis to the appropriate position and push down the key "OK" to save the coordinates of the right position. Repeat the steps described above to determine the positions of top and bottom points. After these operations, you can obtain the correct center position.6. Save the OriginIf the coordinates of the origin need to be saved after they are confirmed, press the key "5/Save" to enter into the interface of "Save Origin". And then input the serial numbers to be saved, and click on the key "Ok" to save them. You can save 12 coordinates altogether. The sign "*" before the figure indicates that one appropriate coordinate has been saved successfully.7. Load OriginIf it is required to call in the saved "Origin" during the period of processing, press the key "2/Load", and then input the numeral symbols corresponding to stored coordinates under Coordinate status, followed by the operation of pushing down the key "OK".8. BreakpointStart processing from the last breakpoint.9. Nearest pointStart processing from the point where the main axis stops and which is nearest to the processed object.10. Coordinate settingUnder the status of coordinate, click “4/coordinate” to switch among RX, AX and OX. Afterwards, you can set or modify its value by using the menu.Ⅲ Setting1. Mode setting: Set different parameters for various carving modes.Under coordinate status, press “3/Menu”, and then press “5/Save” or select “Mode setting” via Down (Y).There’re totally 4 carving modes:When the mode is determined, press “OK” to input values to be modified and select via pressing UP (Y) or Down (Y). 2. Layer settingUnder coordinate status, press “3/Menu”, and then press “6/Setting” or select “Layer setting” via Down (Y). Press “OK” to enter, then press “X Left, X Right” to select layer number or whether to process or pause, setting via “Up (Z)” and “Down (Z)”.When “Yes” being pressed for both “Process” and “Pause”, pause time has to be input ultimately, and the user should input the required pause time.3. Cycle setting: It’s an option to be selected during cyclic process. The offsets of X and Y as well as interval between cycles can be set.Under coordinate status, press “3/Menu”, and then press “7/Principle axis” or select “Cycle setting” via Down (Y). Press “OK” to enter. 4. Parameter setting: Parameters being related to machine operation can be set. After entering into coordinate status, press “6/Setting” or press UP (Z) or Down (Z) to make modification and then press “OK”. Also required values can be input directly. Press “Cancel” to exit. There will appear prompt for whether to save. If so, select “1. Confirm” and press “OK”; or else, select “2. Cancel” and parameter will not be modified.Ⅳ. Process1. Normal processAfter file transfer, select file to be processed by pressing “UP (Y) Down (Y)”. Press “OK” to enter into coordinate status. Press “X left/right” or “Y left/right” to determine the location of the origin and press “5/Save” to save the origin. Then press “” button and select “1. New origin” to start processing;2. Pause and continueDuring processing, processing will pause if press, press again, the processing will continue;3. OutlineAn outline can be added to the object to be processed. Under coordinate status, press “Process” button, select “7/Outline”, then select whether to “open light” and relevant parameters in the popup dialog box. 4. Bulk copy5. CycleProcess an object circularly. After entering into coordinate mode, press “3/Menu” to enter into setting option. Set cycle parameters and then “Enter”; Press “Process” button and select “6.Cycle”, the system will operate automatically according to the cycle number and interval set previously;6. Presetting cutter Before processing, the position of cutter should be determined. Enter into coordinate status, press”8/Cutter presetting”, there will appear 4 options:A、 Presetting cutter:B、 Surface measuring:C、 Cutter length measuring:D、 Thickness of cutter presetter:Ⅴ. Use of flash memory1. FormattingBefore using a new flash memory, formatting should be implemented first on PC. Then the flash memory can be operated. 2. Register of flash memoryInsert the flash memory into controller after the machine is turned on. Press “3/Menu”, move “UP (Y) Down (Y)” or “3” to select “3. Read flash memory”, then press “2” and select “2. Register” to register the flash memory. Instruction about “Delete old files” and “Register new files” will display on the LCD. When “Total amount of files Flash memory” is displayed, it means the flash memory is successfully registered. 3. Transfer data to flash memoryInsert the registered flash memory to PC via USB interface. Click icon and find the carving machine equipment to be used;(Note: If carving machine is connected at the same time, two groups of carving machine parameters, such as names and models, will appear.)After click “OK”, interface of “Carving machine console” will pop up;In “File management” option, VRG file is the register information of carving machine and the others are the files already existing in the flash memory.Click icon in toolbar and create files to be transferred to the carving machine and transfer to the flash memory as well:After confirmation, the output files created will be found in “File management” option;By this time, data have been transferred to the flash memory.4. Transfer the data in flash memory to console.The steps below should be followed:(1) Pull out flash memory;(2) Connect the flash memory to machine controller;(3) Under file status, click “Menu” key on the hand-hold keyboard, and then the menu selected will be displayed;(4) Select “3. Read flash memory”, the contents in the flash memory will be displayed. Select the files created just now via the “UP (Y) Down (Y)” key on the hand-hold keyboard, then press “OK” button;(5) The system will copy automatically the selected files to controller. The process bar of copy will be displayed at the same time; (6) Press “Cancel” key after copy is completed; the system will goes back automatically to the interface displaying the contents of flash memory.By this time, the file information just copied will be displayed in the console of carving machine, as shown in the figure below: Now, the flash memory can be pulled out. Adjust the origin by keyboard, and then carving output can be implemented.15。
