自读考点1. there be表示“有”，指某处或某时“存在”某人或某物，强调的是一种客观存在其中be的形式取决于后面相邻的名词have / has表示“有”，强调的是拥有或占有，宾语一般是名词或代词，与主语是所属关系There be与have有时可互换2. enjoy意思是“喜爱；享受……的乐趣；欣赏”，后接名词或动名词相关结构有：enjoy oneself=have a good time=have a lot of fun玩得高兴；enjoy doing sth.=have fun doing sth.=like doing sth.喜欢干某事3. would like常用来表示“想要；愿意；希望”等意思，尤其是在有礼貌地提出请求或表示愿意提供帮助时would like除了可直接跟名词及名词短语外，还可跟动词不定式，形式为would like to do sth. / would like sb. to do sth.表示“想（让某人）去干什么事”4. across是介词，其含义与on有关，表示某一动作是在某一物体的表面进行，意思是“横过”，用来表示处于或到达一条线、一条河或一条道路的另一侧。
Through是介词，其含义与in有关，表示动作发生在立体空间，是从内部穿过，常用来表示穿过洞形、筒形或类似的封闭物体到达另一端5. another指不定数目中的“另一个；又一个（三个以上）”，服务业修饰单数可数名词，但其后可以接带有few或数词的复数名词Other意为“另外的；其他的”，修饰名词复数The other通常指两个中的“另一个”Others泛指“另外的人或物”The others特指某范围内的“其余全部的人或物”6. on常用在“具体某一天或某一天的上午、下午或晚上”；in常用在“世纪、年、月、周（大于一天的时间）；泛指一在的上午、下午或晚上；在（一段时间）后表示将来”；at表示“在具体时间或时间的某一点”7. tell意思是“告诉；讲（故事）”，及物动词，后面应有宾语，可用于tell sb. sth.，tell…about…等结构中speak意思是“说话（强调能力）；发言；说（语言）”，一般为不及物动词，后面跟介词to / with，意思是“与……说话”，作“说（语言）”讲时是及物动词talk意思是“谈话；交谈”，不及物动词，后面跟介词to / with，表示“与……谈话/交谈”，接介词about/ of表示“谈论……”。
say意思是“说”，可作及物动词，后一般接具体的语言内容；也可作不及物动词，后须跟介词to，表示“对……说”8. job可数名词，指已做、要做或应做的具体工作，可与a或the连用work不可数名词，通常指抽象意义上的工作，前面不能加不定冠词a，但有时可用定冠词the，work还可作动词使用9. What is he like?与What does he look like?两句意思相近，都是询问某人“怎样，什么样”，但前者多侧重于询问性格特征，后者侧重于询问人的外貌特征10. What do you think of…?用于提问对某人或某事的看法意思是“你觉得某人或某事怎样？”相当于How do you like…?11. else的意思是“别的；其他的”，在句中可以作形容词或副词用在疑问代词what, who, which，疑问副词where, when,不定代词something, anything, nothing, someone, anyone, no one, somebody, anybody, nobody等的后面12. have to意为“不得不……”，其后跟动词原形，着重于表示客观上的需要。
must表示“必须”，着重于表示主观上认为“有义务；有必要”；它只有一种形式，通常表示现在或将来时间，而have to有各种时态形式用于否定时，两者意思有很大的不同，mustn’t表示“不准；不许可；禁止”，don’t have to表示“不必”，与needn’t同义13.
